I happen to have a 5 speed transmission, all components included for sale. It just needs a clutch. I really want to take a trade for a good automatic transmission. Whatever I get is goin into a v6 firebird, so let me know.

i have a 2004r out of a 305 monte ss with a shift kit in it will you trade for that?

 

will that bolt up to my v6? if so, I may be interested. whats your zip, lemme see what shipping would be on it. is it in your monte right now, or is it out?

 

No it won't. The 305 has a 90 degree bolt patter, Your 3.1 has a 60 degree bolt pattern.

well, see...I am on my feet ALL day, and I like to just rest my feet on the way home from work. Believe me, Everyone asks me why I want to do that! Until I get my smallblock (that I havnt got yet) built, I will search for a t-5 or something, but for right now, Im just wanting a way back and forth to work, There is ALOT of traffic on the way, during lunch, and especially after work...so yeah, by the time I get home, Im pretty worn out.

 

I've got a perfectly operating 700R4 in my 1988 RS with a 2.8. It will bolt up to your 3.1. I have everything but I'm not sure the flexplate is the same. I'm almost sure it's not. It's still in the car and now that my daughter is in college, I should be able to pull it. I would love to trade you as I have been looking for a 5 speed myself. Do you have the 5 speed console plate? How about the pedals. I think we can trade everything straight across. The only prohibitor would be the cost of shipping. You need to make sure that you have the proper computer chip to lock the transmission. I don't want you to be unhappy with the trade. Look into that and let me know.

Ha I got an auto in my 3.1L that works great i would love to swap with your 5 speed but would take to much work to do that being i live in NJ.

 

I live in NJ too. I have 2 T5 manual transmissions for V6 firebird ha. I'm actually looking for a T56, impossible to find, except for brand new on ebay for 1700.

I'll see these T5's if anyone is interested. I can't use them I have a 350 in one firebird (84) and an LT1 in the other (91)
