DROP SPINDLES

aje 1.8" fabricated drop spindles.
these look to be a really nice piece considering ive seen a thread where they were bashed pretty good.
ive mocked them up and fitment seems to be good, though i cant guarantee it in anyones case.
they are setup to run drag brakes.... ie wilwood, strange, aerospace type mounting pads. will not fit stock brakes, unless you make a bracket.

the ONLY reason im getting rid of these is i am trying to run a mustang adjustable strut, and the strut hangs BELOW the spindle mount, interfering with the ball joint stud.
a camaro strut should work fine.(the strut does not hang below the spindle mount.)
im trying to do some odd ball stuff and its backfiring on me.
i have 210 in them, id like to get it back. shipping extra.
these sell for 495 from AJE.
this pic was stolen from the user i purchased them from.

Re: DROP SPINDLES

these will work with ls1 or c5/6 brakes just get the bracket from Ed. He has already done the bracket on these. also if just wanting to run stock brakes contact Jim at AJE and he can put the holes in the proper spot. after talking with him he said no one was really willing to do any R&D work for him (I personally don't blame them) but he said he was willing to make any changes necessary to make these work like stock. bump for the sale also.

Re: DROP SPINDLES

are you still selling the drop spindles? Also, how does these spindles compare to the racecraft drop spindles that are being discussed in the group purchase boards? Thanks

Re: DROP SPINDLES

suprisingly, AJE is taking them in on credit for some other pieces i need.
bad news is, they got the spindles back march 6th, and ive called them all day everyday since and i cannot get in contact with jim.
im about to be pissed, but im keeping calm.
i had a chassis builder take a look at them, and he said they were complete junk.
im glad i didnt sell them. they looked beefy to me, but my chassis guy said they had horrible welds, didnt look like they penetrated properly, and a couple of pieces of the metal werent butted, but rather welded to fill in the gap. im not talking about for autoX or street driving, im talking drag racing. matt said he wouldnt cruise down the track with them.

i hope aje isnt screwing me on these. ive got 210 in them, plus the 30 bucks it cost me to ship them back.

all i wanted was some coilover sleeves and nuts. not all my money back, but not a complete loss. jim at aje said since they were new, he would just rebox them and sell them.
i wish i would have known before this whole ordeal.

Re: DROP SPINDLES

Thats a bummer looks like I will be going to racecraft for a set of spindles. I guess it just proves that if AJE would have done things right the first time they would have landed some buisness, but instead they have lost any hope of most of us ever shopping with him. I was excited about a deal on these spindles too, even if I had to mod the **** out of them to make them fit.
