Ok I have a 1991 WC T5 for a V8, that came from a 1991 Firebird 305TBI.

The Good: Trans has brand new 3-4 syncro and shift fork as well as the 2 blocking rings for 3-4. Also has new shifter pad bushings and shifter ballstud bushing. Rest of trans in great shape with the exception of..
The Bad: the reverse shift fork shaft got bent, so the shifter is currently jambed. The part I believe is cheap and could be installed by removing the tail housing and the shifter cover. I just don't have the time to mess with it anymore. I am selling the swap because I bought a T56 setup.

WC T5 $300
Bellhousing, hydraulics, pedal setup, and rough shifter console plate $225 + shipping.
I may ship the trans if buyer sets everything up, and pays me to put it on a pallet.

Do the pedals have all the switches?

Those are just pedal covers correct?

 

Yes those are just pedal covers, All of the switches should be on there, but I will go out and verify for sure. I am not sure about a heat shield. I think someone already took it off before I owned the car...I will check that too. Make me an offer on the pedals and send me your zip to check shipping.

I'm interested in these parts. However, I was wondering how you know that this is a World Class T-5?

They never came in TBI cars and only in RPO G92 Performance Axle package TPI cars. I suppose it could have been changed out at one time, but never factory.

I'm still interested either way, though can you send the I.D tag off of it? It should start with a #1352-XXX.

Here is the tag number: 1352 - 196 That should be the important one you need....but here are the other numbers on the tag. 10142026 E1822P 34271

 

World class T5s came in TBI and TPI cars from 88-92.

 

Oh that is good to know! Did they still have the same Torque rating from the TBI to the TPIs? I know they had a deeper (.74 vs .63) 5th gear ratio in G92 cars...were there any other differences?

I called a T5 shop awhile ago about most of the tags saying they were in 89 TBI and they said take that with a grain of salt. I pulled a T5 from a 91 Formula 305 TPI and it had the -196 tag.

I don't know about the 5th gear differences.

Well, I have a complete set of everything except the trans itself and the shifter plate console for sale on ebay right now. I also have for sale seperate a partial swap.. it has the pedal setup minus the brake pedal, bellhousing minus the clutch fork, and complete hydraulics. I also still have the transmission itself. I would sell the parts listed here including the trans and a shifter plate for $400. OR if you are the winning bidder on ebay, I would sell you the trans and shifter plate seperate to make the complete swap. I see you are in Harrisburg. I could meet you at an I-90exit in the Erie, PA area for $60.
