Re: AFR Eliminator #1040's!
find a set of 113 L98 heads and have Lloyd Elliott work them over, keeping a 1.94 valve. Still get some lift out of that on a 305. MAYBE a 2.00 valve but 2.02 is gonna limit things alot. He can get decent numbers out of those heads ~$800 for LE1 setup which includes all machine work, cleaning, porting, and valvesprings. LE2 is 1000 and is setup for either 2.00 or 2.02 valve
While the 350 vs 305 wars will always rage on in the forums, AFR's market isn't exactly geared towards those smaller motors. In fact, a majority of the test mules AFR uses are 383s.
Heck, I have 195s on my motor and I'm at 412 inches.

Maybe even a set of as cast 113's. All depends on your combination.
Re: AFR Eliminator #1040's!
The 180's would still probably have good velocity numbers, which I suspect is what he is concerned with regarding the valve size.

Re: AFR Eliminator #1040's!
I have been in contact with Rick and Jim on these heads for a couple of years now and was just recently able to finally make the purchase. I can't thank them both enough for their patience and understanding. Frustrating on their end I'm sure to have to have dealt with me for so long....but...often times, that's how life deals the cards. These guys are legit. No worries there. Yes...as someone earlier posted up, you receive a Sales Order Receipt directly from AFR and these heads are shipped directly from AFR to you. I receive my heads the other day and I have to say, they are true works of art from an engineering standpoint. Crazy sexy. I can't wait till I get these heads put to use. It's going to be a while for my build, but I just simply had to take these guys up on this offer to save a few bux. When doing a build from scratch...anyone that's done that, knows that this process can nickle and dime you to death. So...anywhere and anyway that you can save some coin....it's in your best interest to do so. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to do business with these guys again. It's great to have these kinds of opportunities.
(And no...I wasn't paid to say these great things and no, I didn't get any additional discount than what's offered here to everyone else...it's just plain, simple, black and white facts that these guys are for real just as the AFR heads are as well.)

That is funny. However the price is certainly good.

Re: AFR Eliminator #1040's!
I Ordered the AFR #210's Saturday, and I can't wait to get them on!
Re: AFR Eliminator #1040's!
I have had two people pm me in regards to how the AFR's compare to the GM Fastburns.
If you compare the Fastburns (I think they are 210cc), and compare those to a AFR 210, I really dont think the Fastburns will hold a candle to the AFR's.
Not sure what other people's opinions are.....

Time marches on and I agree in that the AFR's are superior.

Re: AFR Eliminator #1040's!
Rick thank you for getting the AFR 210's for me.
I can not believe the difference in power from my Edelbrock Performers to the AFR'S. It is like night and day. If anyone is debating if its worth the money to upgrade their heads from say a set like mine. all I can say is you won't be disappointed. Rick also was very helpful through the whole process. Thanks again Rick!
