Engine: 350 tpi
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: I want 3.73's...I have...who knows
350 engine
I need a new transmission, a 700r4 in perfect working order(would love one that shifts hard). This would be an uneven trade in my direction, but my transmission is on its last leg.
If you want to buy it outright, the price is $600(if i can't get a trade i'm getting a shop in town to rebuild it, and 600 is their quote....so that isn't negotiable).
I've got a 350 2 bolt main out of a 90 model Silverado 350SS. The block has been bored .40, line honed and the cylinders have been cross honed. The block was also given an acid bath. It's been painted black and coated in machine oil for protection. It has the stock camshaft and the stock crankshaft has been turned and is like new. They have both already been installed and torqued to specs. It has brand new sealed power cam and crank bearings. The pistons are sealed power hypereutectic .40 over flat tops attached to stock rods. I have a complete and unopened premium racing gasket set that will come with the engine. I have a set of 305 heads with 64cc chambers and 184 intake/ 150 exhaust. They will need to be reworked. I also have the complete TBI set up, throttle body, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, water pump and other front accessories, and the electronic spark controller that will be included. The fuel boss is on the pass side front of the block. The crank seal is one piece. All of the pieces to this motor are here except piston rings and rod bearings. This motor ONLY needs those two things and its ready to be assembled. If built with this current cam, it will work with a stock computer from any 88-95 Chevy/GMC fullsize truck or SUV with the provided spark controller.
I bought this engine from Daniel Johnson in Cabot under the assumption that it was set up as a roller motor....and it is not. It will not work with the application i needed it for in my TPI camaro, So i must offload this ASAP. There is NOTHING wrong with any parts of the engine!!!! I purchased this engine without fulling knowing exactly what a "roller motor" is....it is my first engine build. The pistons are no joke BRAND NEW. It has a full gasket set and everything. I am NOT selling it because something is wrong with it. The engine is VERY clean, you can tell machine work has been done very recently. The freeze plugs don't even have dust settled on them.
I'd be happy to deliver this to a shipping company as long as you arrange to pay them and i just have to drop it off. My zip code is 72023 for a pricing reference.
I have a family business where i can take a credit card, so that is an option.
Call me if interested,
John 501-259-3208
I'm open to any offers for trades, the worst thing that can happen is i can say no.

Re: 350 engine
Unfortunatelly, it turns out I will need good luck. It's hard to find a replacement for a cracked crankshaft.
As I said in the PM (that you never replied to), it would be great if you were a good sport, John, and helped me out with half the crankshaft cost, I think that is a fair thing to ask.

Re: 350 engine
Well, as it turns out, John, the seller seems more and more like a crooked seller.
He sold me a cracked crankshaft and now he's ignoring all my messages, playing dead. (even though he's been online plenty)
Another TGO deal gone sour.
At this point, I think it would be wise for me to simply stay away from this club, that was great once but has gone downhill pretty quickly.
Too bad.

Re: 350 engine
whatever man, i dropped the price 100 bucks, came out of pocket from the deal 150 bucks. I didn't have enough money to rebuild my tranny, so i'm still screwed. I didn't know it was cracked and i gave you every bit of info that i could. I busted my *** packing it for you and delivering it to the shipping company. I got more screwed than you did. BTW, autozone sells cranks for 75 bucks, I would have refunded your money had i not already been suckered down 100 bucks. Dont make me out to be the bad guy here. You bought a used motor, just like i did. Period. You want to bitch to someone? Call daniel Johnshon, his phone number is 501-259-4433, I ran across it yesterday. He is the one who sold me the motor and screwed ME out of the deal.

If I bought the engine from you, I would have took you up on the opportunity to use your family's business account and my credit card....then I would have filed a charge back for misrepresentation of the parts. Problem solved.

This is what you stated in your first post, this alone makes you liable for any damage upon arriving to the seller.

are you listening?
any resolution?
If you use that block you may want to have it presure checked before you get pulled farther into the deep end of the water.
make sure the block is good seeing you can not trust the history
check everything....twice
members should be paying attention.
this is the kind of stuff we come here for, to deal with car people that have integrity.
