If the U-joints are still good, this is an awesome deal.

Re: Aluminum LS1 Driveshaft
The ujoints are fine but I would probably replace the back one just as a precaution as it seems to be getting a bit tight. They're fairly cheap and easy.

Re: Aluminum LS1 Driveshaft
As far as an upgrade I'll let other people answer that question. People claim aluminum drivesahafts are better bedcause they're lighter and they also offer less vibration. I'm located in Torrance.

I have 1 person in line if he's not interested its yours. I'm pretty sure it will work with an auto tranny just fine but I'd do a search to make sure.

Re: Aluminum LS1 Driveshaft
It will work if you have a 700r4 or a T5.
It reduces some of the high speed vibrations of the stock steel one,, it is stronger, it has a more precise balance, it is significantly lighter, it frees up some power, and it has a higher maximum velocity. The only down side is that it isn't as strong as a $400 chromoly driveshaft.
When i did the swap, I noticed throttle response was a little better due to less rotational mass.
