T-5 help for plastic clutch lines
T-5 help for plastic clutch lines
how much interest is there out there for braided stainless lines with new fittings made just for these lines. Simply remove your plastic lines and replace with stainless. Quick and simple. One stop does it all. Are you tired of your headers causing heat problems. Let me hear from you. Cost of kits would be $65 shipped.
Re: T-5 help for plastic clutch lines
I will keep moving this up for a month and if there is no interest I will not kit these. I know there must be some interest because as far as I know you cant buy just these lines from the autoparts houses or dealers. Let me know.

Well it looks like we are getting a good response from all the sources we are checking, so it looks like we will be kitting these lines. If you want on the order list please contact me at apache@htn.net . It will most likely be a couple weeks befor we can get the materials in and start sending out the kits. Thanks

Re: T-5 help for plastic clutch lines
This is a single line that goes from the master to the slave, correct?
I would be interested in a picture of your finished product if you could post one here.
Probably wouldn't hurt your sales either.

Re: T-5 help for plastic clutch lines
Yes, this is the line from the master to the slave. I will be able to post photos later. The liner of the line is special material to be compatable with the fluid used and the outer is braided stainless steel.

Re: T-5 help for plastic clutch lines
I know that there are some requests for photos and I will have them as soon as I can, we are still waiting for the materials to come in. The first kit is going on my El Camino. I have gone thru 3 plastic lines. I am not doing this trying to make a lot of money but to help others like myself who are tired of the plastic line hassel. The $65 price shipped to you is barely a break even point. I had to front the almost $1200 just to get the supplies. Thanks to all for your patience. If your are interested send me a email. apache@htn.net I am compiling a order list and once they are gone I dont know if I will do anymore.

Re: T-5 help for plastic clutch lines
So how did it work on your car? I bought ONE of the AN fittings alone for my master cylinder and it cost me 50 bucks from another place! but i hadnt seen them anywhere else so i jumped on it, about 6 mo ago. Just curious how it worked on your car
Re: T-5 help for plastic clutch lines
The fittings as they come from the manufacturer will not work on OEM masters and slaves for GM cars. They have to be machined to work. The kits come with the remachined fittings and they work fine. They are each one checked with an OEM unit before shipping. I am sorry but if you paid $50 for the fitting you got ripped off. Your car sounds like a nice ride. Just out of curiosity how did you make out with the fitting you bought?

Re: T-5 help for plastic clutch lines
here is a pic of the fitting as it sells from the place i got my transmission. Its a good quality piece but it looks like your selling two of them and the line for only $20 more than i paid for the fitting. Im tempted to buy a kit from you just to have for the future, a just in case measure.
I attached it as a big picture so you can have a close look at it to compare. It has a little surface rust on the threads, i just took it out of the tool box for the first time since last Christmas. I just hit it with a steal brush and put some oil on it to keep better until i put it in the car.

The kits are ready and we have started shipping. If you want a kit, let me know soon at apache@htn.net. When these kits are gone I dont think I will make up any more as it is too much expense and trouble. To all those who said they wanted kits, please get your orders in to me at the above email address. Thanks, and MERRY CHRISTMAS

Re: T-5 help for plastic clutch lines
It would be really nice to have the buying power of Summit Racing but I dont. So if you bought those parts from Summit you would still have fittings that do not fit GM masters and slaves plus you have to consider Summits shipping charges. You will notice that Summit does not say anywhere that those fittings will fit GM components.
Re: T-5 help for plastic clutch lines

Re: T-5 help for plastic clutch lines
Whoa guys! I bought this line and you wouldn't believe the difference! 14 more horsepower at the wheels, took 10 seconds off my 1/4 mile time, fixed my wheel hop, makes the car ride like a Cadillac and handle like it on rails, and took all of the squeaks and rattles out of the car!!
In all seriousness, a free bump for a great seller.

So, are you at least confirming that you bought one of these kits and are completely happy with it then?

Re: T-5 help for plastic clutch lines
I bought one and have it in possession. Although i haven't installed it yet due to the ridiculously cold weather we have been having lately it looks and feels like a quality piece and i have no doubt that it will be once installed.
Re: T-5 help for plastic clutch lines
Yes, I still have some kits left. Contact me at apache@htn.net Thanks
