Mighty Demon 750 mech sec. Going to a vac sec so I'm getting rid of my old carb. Well by old I mean 4 months. $375+shipping. New they are around $600 from the big stores.

could you post the part #. there is an anular and a down leg booster version of this carb in the Jegs catalog.

I have a couple questions regarding your carb and how it worked for you. Was it too much fuel for the set-up you have? Did you have it re-jetted? And are you running a Vacuum Advance Distributor? If so, does the vacuum line go on the rear vacuum port on the right side of the carb (like your pic shows)? I have a 650 Speed Demon w/ Vacuum Secondaries and am thinking of going Mechanical. But everyone seems to run 750's and that seems like a lot of fuel unless it is jetted down. And they say Vacuum secondaries are better for heavier cars. BTW I would love to buy yours and try but Christmas has me tied up right now. Thanks for your time and Good Luck.

 

I not changed the jets, same as they came. I know the mech sec make more power on the top end and at the track but mines a street car and I like the crispier throttle of the vac sec. In the higher RPMs the carb was noticeably different(power wise), its just my car doesn't see high rpms that much. Its a little lazier on the bottom end for my liking. Yes vac advance.
