400 sbc freddy brown 700-r4 3.73 rear
looking for quick sale, REDUCED price. invested 15k recently want $3500 obo. this weekend only. NY area only. 631 327-2309
92 camaro, interior water damage (broken window caused it) exterior needs work. now the good stuff: 400 sbc. steel motor, all forged, 450 hp, 450 torque. setup for 300 shot, 750 hp total. bullet proof. new holley 770, carb to pan. with ignition (new) about 300-500 miles on motor if that. gauging interst for a quick sale . the motor was $4500 plus tax plus carb intake plus ignition, regulator 2 yrs ago and built by sk speed. bullet proof, the motor is in a thirdgen. whole car $3-3500k. 92 camaro. needs paint and interior. needs going over. t. lots of new extras, gauges, regulator fuel pumps, braided lines, new brakes/rotors/calipers and tires all the way around. won't take a penny less as these prices are already recession basement low prices. car is NOT turn key.... may be better to swap all the good stuff to a good body/interior car. dont call me if you dont have cash in hand ready to move on this. i cant be bothered with tire kickers. it's a good deal, end of story. i cant keep car. i may rip out the motor and throw away the rest and part it out.,.. easier if someone takes whole car. not making appointments for viewings at this point. u can call me for details and a description, but nobody has the time for tire kickers. sorry to be rude, but dudes are bs artists these days... they want what they cant afford.
i have paperwork from sk (the reciept) not sure if it shows all the specs. i don't think there is a warrenty. (might be, but he didnt say so.)
as far as the motor, its a 406, steel crank, forged pistons, eagle rods, 2.02 heads ported and polished, edel manifold. holly street avenger 770. the build was with his exsisting block and heads, so alot went into bulletproofing the shortblock...good crank rods pistons etc. it is suposed to make 450hp/450trq. and supposed to hold up to a 300 shot...it is higher compression, i think over 10:1. it has a "street" cam, you can make more power if u do a cam swap, i would leave it alone...
the car has never seen nitrous, he didn't even own a nitrous kit. it was inthe cars future, but he had so many issues that he just went and bought a srt8 challenger off the lot new. he wasnt really into wrenching.. he is the original owner of the car and it has a 400 before he built this 400 (same block). he just wanted turn key new. the motor seriously has like 300 miles on it and the car is still insured.
never any passes on the quarter. the can was barely used, just some street miles with radials. I was gonna grab the car soon and get it to my house, just wanted to make sure i had interest before i do, don't need it lying around and don't need another fast thirdgen.
as far as the motor starting. he sent it to a mechanic to do the install. the car ran mint, then it stopped running. they thought it was some sort of fuel problem.. (like the pump shutting off...then they got it running again, but it would stall out after a dozen miles of driving.., he put like $15000 total into the car, then gave up since he wanted turn key and he has the moeny.. car for $3500.
I think it's a little work to get it running, I just spoke to him and he says there's no fuel pressure...but he hears the pump runing., better to drop it into another car, that's why i was selling motor only, i don't have the time or knowlege to figure it out.. but seriously the motor isnt even broken in. so, no it can't be started by me.
steel cowl hood.
the best way to look at this is a motor/tranny/rear on a stand.. forget there is a car involved $3500
