Hey guys. Where is another good place to part out a 97 Camaro? I know some guys on here would want the seats and center console and stuff like that, but I want to part out as much as I can.

Be very Very careful, This is a thirdgen board, your talking about a 4th gen...

I am on the fence about locking this because it is about parting out a 97, BUT the third gen can use some parts from that car... If Scott, JT or anyone else wants to lock it I will have no qualms with it, it is just borderline to what we try to stick with here...

Just about the only 4thgen parts that don't swap-over are the body and frame parts. People swap engines, transmissions, differentials and full interiors, especially seats, from 4thgens into 3rdgens, so I'd think it should be safe to post the parting-out. But it should be posted in the various forums here:

OK, thank you both. Initially, I was wondering if there was another website that is good (busy) because I checked one Camaro forum, and there were no posts at all in the classifieds section. It wasn't as nice as our forum here. I appreciate the advice.

i vote we allow it because ive been looking for 4th gen parts forvever and itd be great if we could find them here as well, the engines and trannys get sold here all the time anyway just my 2c

Well, I'm taking the LT1 and 4L60e tranny out of it, then I am parting out the rest. The LT1 will work with our 700r4 trannies, but some wire tweaking needs to be done for it.
