Re: Parting out low mi 305 TPI
Is the intake base for full 90 degree bolts or is it for the heads with the canted two center bolts?

No, not for the alternator bracket.
The center two holes on each side of the intake typically on the '87 and newer heads/intakes are canted slightly, not being at the same 90 degree angle as the front two and rear two bolt holes on each side of the intake. Some folks call the newer style ('87 and newer) center bolt heads but that is not totally correct as they make some heads like what I have with center bolt valve covers but all the intake bolt holes are all at a true 90 degrees. The heads I have are the L98 aluminum heads.
Since you have an '86 305, there is a possibility that your intake has all the bolt holes to bolt the intake down to the heads at the same angle. The specific GM part number I am looking for is 14081005 (TPI intake number).
