Hey guys.
If you wish to update your tranny, here's a good deal for you.
The stock 4L60E is rated at 325 hp and 350 torque.
I am selling my nice, clean, and properly working 1997 4L60E transmission. I pulled it out, along with the LT1, from a 1997 Z28 donor car that was in a tow yard, and the car was running well when it was parked there (the previous owner ran from the cops and went to jail and lost his Camaro--his loss was my gain).
Anyway, I recently decided to go with a T-56 for my swap.
I guess I love shifting...I am, after all, a professional driver.
The 4L60E is electronically controlled, so no more TV cable , and it's a direct fit replacement in our cars, without having to modify the crossmember or driveshaft.
You'll just need the GM Controller [url] to make the tranny work in a tpi car.
It will include the flexplate, dipstick with tube, shifter linkage/cable, and torque arm mount/tailhousing.
Sorry, but I don't know if this 4L60E has ever been rebuilt.
The fluid in the tranny was a nice clear/clean red when I drained it.
Just had a transmission shop in town check it out this morning and they said it is good to go--just needs new filter and new fluid.
Priced to sell at $359.00 shipped
I take PayPal:

Re: Price Lowered-1997 4L60E Tranny FOR SALE
It worked fine, yes. The car was parked for about 8 months, after the owner went to jail, so I bought it from the tow yard that was holding it.
The fluid was clear and clean when I drained it, and the odometer on the car said 145,000 miles.
I don't know if the tranny was rebuilt or not.
I would ship the tranny in a Rubbermaid container via UPS or on a crate/box via NPT. Both would work well.

Re: F/S: 1997 4L60E Tranny
The odometer on the 97 Z28 said 145,000.
I don't know if the tranny was rebuilt or replaced, so I don't know for sure how many miles on the actual tranny. I just know that the tranny was in working condition and that the fluid was red and clean/clear, when I drained it.
