Trick Flow G1's Fully Ported SBC

I have a set of G1 Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads for SBC. They are the first design that outflow all later designs. These have been fully race ported and outflow most other heads on the market. Dual springs for a .600 lift roller cam installed. They have receiver grooves cut for O-ringed blocks/copper head gaskets. These have about 10 miles on them since being rebuilt (new guides, springs, and seals) $1000 plus shipping

I have a set of these and I have a few quick questions. Did you have to run special pistons with them and what rocker arms did you use? Thanks. GLWS.

No special pistons required. I used forged flat-tops with stock valve reliefs and had no piston-to-valve clearance problems. Trick Flow has a list of rocker arms that work with these heads that don't prematurely wear the valve guides.

These heads also include screw-in studs and guideplates.

I had a set of these too. They were a real decent set of heads. Got me like 330rwhp with a very mild cam and miniram. Good luck with sale!

Re: Trick Flow G1's Fully Ported SBC

These heads made 425HP and 450TQ on a flat-top 377 shortblock with a smallish 224* duration cam.

I don't recall which length pushrods I used. I always mock-up my builds and measure the correct length and order them accordingly.

Re: Trick Flow G1's Fully Ported SBC

I will throw in a brand-new set of fabricated valve covers for the same price if someone is interested. And I can have the receiver grooves removed as well for a standard head gasket installation.
