This LT1 T56 was built by Michael Davis (85MikeTPI) using:

billet keys on 1-2, 3-4, 5-6
full bronze fork pads
steel 3-4 fork
new second gear (that's what was initially wrong with it when I originally purchased the transmission)

Didn't you just put this in? What's the reason for selling it?

 

Sadly yes I just got it in and on the road..........but I found this car that I'm swapping my parts onto:

And after some thought, I'm going LS swap which means this trans has to go. I considered doing the LS conversion to it, but a complete trans swap will be easier.

I sold a stock T56 for this price last year, so I'm sure this one won't last especially since it was built by a known member of this board.

 

Lots of interest, but nothing concrete. Literally sold the engine yesterday, so the trans is now out and ready to ship.

 

What year is this from? I would like to know the gear ratios of it.

free bump.....ive had one of mikes built t56s on my car for a few years now with 0 issues.

 

Here ya go:


That .5:1 6th gear means you can have a very tall rear end and still cruise comfortably on the highway. I've 4.57:1 gears and only push 2K rpm's @ 70mph!
