Re: trade for chip
Thanks Brian. I already sent them but now that I read your post I forgot to get the tracking. I used the automated machine in the lobby and it confused me 'cause I never saw the tracking mail option. Let's hope it gets there ok. Please keep me posted. Thanks again for all your help and advise. I can't wait to get my prom without VATS and get my baby back on the road again.
I didn't tell you this but the original 305 engine threw a rod almost 4 years ago while my son was driving on the turnpike at 80 mph. It took me all this time to find an engine I could afford and it was only about 3 miles from home. It came out of a '92 350 TBI Chevy Silverado ZZ4 4x4 Truck with 112xxx miles. I put all my TPI stuff out my original 305 on it, including the flywheel, all accesories and brackets. It looks and works great. No smoke at all, no weird sounds or knocks. I only put new gaskets and cleaned it up really good inside and out. Didn't even take the heads off, just the valve covers and oil pan. I did check one of the mains and a rod bearing and they looked good, so I just cleaned it and painted it. I'll be posting some pictures soon. Thanks again.

Re: trade for chip
I got my memcal in the mail today and it works GREAT!!!!
I'm super satisfied with your work Brian, just like you promised, everything works fine. I unplugged the 9th injector for now like you suggested, until I replace my injectors and buy a "delete kit" for it. No engine codes, it starts beautifully, idles fine, sounds really mean, cranking time is great too.
I'm very satisfied and will recommend you to anyone that needs a prom/memcal reprogrammed.
