Is this a performance chip, (if so what are the gains) and is it universal in that it will fit my 1987 IROC Z with 350 TPI? All stock motor and I will be adding a header and Y-Pipe.

It'll work with your car. Here's the info given on it. I honestly don't think it'll make a huge difference over a stock chip.
