ECU removal

I am trying find a thread about removing my ecu and running a non computer controlled distributor. I am sure there are a couple of threads out there on this topic but I cant seem to find them. Can someone point me in the right direction.

It really depends on what transmission you have.

What carb are you switching to?

Also I gotta ask why are you switching to no computer controlled?

There's a couple tech articles on switching from EFI to Carb they may be helpful as long as you read around the EFI stuff.

Thanks I think that will do it. I want to go old school and not use a computer. Looks cleaner and is easier to work with, atleast for me.

Just check with local inspection laws first. Federally it's not legal to do so, but feds never do inspections (at least not yet). Locally is the problem. Here in NC, anything pre-1995 only needs safety inspection (brakes, horn, lights, wipers) so I don't have any issues as long as I don't go to a franchise/chain shop.
