subframe connecters

I have a set of Competition Engineering model # C3111 bolt on subframe connecters for sale, they are 2 yrs old, out of the box but never installed on a car. They are black powder coated with no rust any where. I do not have the
mounting hardware. They can also be welded. Summit list them for $348.99. I want $225.00 . I also have a front bumper assembly in real good condition, there are no cuts, cracks, dents
or other damage. It is painted black. $100. I do not want to ship either item.

Re: subframe connecters

I have a set of these as well new and uninstalled as of yet but I will say these things look to be of great quality and really tie the frame together well. That’s a pretty good price too.

Re: subframe connecters

I found the mounting hardware for them, you can't beat these for $225.00 for the set. Just missing the instructions and original box. These can also be welded on.

Those are really good sfcs. I think they are probably the best of all sfcs. I installed them of my car and to decrease the part under the passenger footwell that hangs a little low for my liking, I cut the 2inch bar that goes accross from the sill to the middle with 1/4 inch flat plate. That lifted it a bit higher and caused less to hang down and thus less to scrap on surfaces like speed bumps . Very good sfcs and very strong.

Re: subframe connecters

The instructions say they don't work with stock exhaust, where is the issue? In the converter area?
Thanks

My car was an 84 Camaro with stock exhaust. I would think the problem on a later car would be the dual cats. I helped a friend install a set of the ones like mine (changed from 2inch to plate) on an 88 Camaro. and his installed ok. I think they maybe are talking about the part that we are speaking of that hangs a little low if placed under the cats. Please dont make a decision on what I have done. I do think that Competition Engineering have changed their design to tublier type and would not be the same as the ones you are looking at.

Re: subframe connecters

The problem is where the subframe connecter crosses from the passenger side rocker to the front subframe next to the transmission. The cat and exhaust pipe will end up about 6" lower
then the original location. I was going to shorty headers and true dual exhaust with out the cats with these connecters. But I sold the car before I installed them.

That part is where I removed the 2 inch bars and welded in a 1/4 in flat bars therefore decreasing the drop in the exhaust. It barely lowered the exhaust at all.
