I can deliver to the Portland metro area - including Vancouver for gas.

I pulled the LB9 (305 TPI) from my 86 Trans Am. I would like to see it go to a good home and help out a fellow member if I can. Here's the specs:

The GOOD:

Comp 1.6 roller-tip rockers.
Silicone umbrella style valve stem seals
New valve springs, re-shimmed with exhaust rotators deleted.
Double roller Cloyes timing set.
New harmonic balancer.
NGK short spark plugs for header clearance
160 compression across the board
186 RWHP on my DynoJet with DynoDon headers (not included), full exhaust, and custom tune. That's through my 3000 stall 700R4 and 3.70 gearing. Accounting for drivetrain losses that's about 215 at the crank.

All modifications have less than 10k on them. For the 10k that I have owned it, I have only run Amsoil premium protection 10w40 high zinc. Engine had EXCELLENT oil pressure. Never dropped below 25, and was 60+ on startup. Oil was clean. Not a hint of swirl.

The car has 175k on it. I have no evidence this is not the original motor. So AFAIK it has 175k on it. But you wouldn't know that from the way it ran. Maybe it got a rebuild at some point - before I got it the car had sat for about 11 years.

The BAD:

It needs the oil pan resealed - had a slow drip from the front and seeping from the back. Rear main is dry but I would recommend replacement. I would also recommend replacing the head gaskets and re-sealing the head bolts.
Also the engine still has some water jacket rust in it. I have flushed it at least a dozen times and it's fairly cleaned out but could use more flushing while it's out for sure.

The UGLY:

...... it's dirty and I'm not cleaning it.

I will be removing and keeping the TPI manifold in the pics.

I can ship it but you're going to pay for my goons to palletize it and drop it off at Fastenal, etc.
