t-5 parts

im putting a v8 t-5 on my 305 and i need the crossmember, bellhousing, pedals, entire clutch pedal assembly(cable and whatnot), driveshaft and maybe the starter(dont know if the one i had with my turbo 350 will work), computer and any wiring for the t5....if anyone can help me with any of these parts i would really appreciate it...the tranny came out of an 87 iroc i believe... so if im forgetting anything(first manual conversion ive ever attempted) also let me know... thanks

The crossmember and drive shaft are the same as the auto. I think the starter is too but not 100% sure. No clutch cable it's hydraulic unless it's early third generation. Don't forget to put a pilot bearing into the end of the crank too. As for computer connections mine only had the reverse light switch as the ONLY electrical connection and mine is still factory T-5.

your going to have troubles with the crossmember why you ask ... 82 doesnt have inner bolts in the frame to mount the trans mount farther back for a t-5 changeover. its easier to weld a extension on to your 82's crossmember thats what I did to mine.

theres a hole in the firewall for the clutches master cylinder. theres like a metal plug that seals it you just tap it out. but you have to drill two small holes for the master cylinders U-bolt to secure it.

I used a 700r4 drive shaft for mine.

If you need a flywheel I have a real nice one and your stock starter will work with a 5 speed flywheel

also you will need a 700r4 or t-5 torque arm, your 82's is longer and when you try to cut it shorter it won't fit the bracket on the t-5 very well. heres everything you will need.

83-early 86 two piece rear main flywheel
84 up torque arm I used a 84 v-8 700r4 torque arm on mine
84 up bell housing
I used a 89 clutch pedal setup
all 84 up 4 clylinder - V-6 - and V-8 used the same hydraulic stuff
83-84 5 speed shifter plate
upper and lower shifter boots
84 up 700r4 or t-5 driveshaft I used one from a v-6 car with a 700r4
5 speed dash lower panel but you could cut yours out
also the v-8's use a heat shield around the hydraulic slave cylinder try to get one.

good luck
