Hi guys, I need a TV cable from a 1985-88 3rd gen, TPI only. 4bbl carb and TBI TV cables are totally different length and will not work. 89+ definitely used a different throttle cable, and may use a different TV so I am not sure on those years.

 

How do they come off the tranny? Never removed one before. I have an 86 tranny lying around.

 

Unbolt the one little bolt that holds the plastic cable end to the transmission, and remove. To remove the metal inner cable from the trans, pull up, then you will see it is hooked on a metal thing, and slide it off. A needle nose pliers will probably help. Let me know.
