NEED A 3:23 must b 4 {series 2 carrier,thick} only, 3:08 and numericly lower,u know what i mean! i live in michigan

 

do you have posi that why you what for s 2 carrier i have open carrier for 10 and 3.73 which you will see big change with

 

yea,its a posi,and i have 3:73's in now,from a 3:42 and want to make my car more street friendly ,besides with both 342 & 373 have me out of my power at top end,hell the 373's i was DONE at the 1/8 .best# LOW 13's with a low(8.2) compression pontiac 400 with stock ex manifolds in a 79 g-body.And better MPG,9 aint getting it no more ,its my daily driver.

i have a friend with 4.88 too drives on road
i run 11.9 going out the gate at 6800 rpm
i have 7000 pill in it
i'm sorry i love 3.73 and th350 for the steet

engine annalizer shows my peak tq at around 3000 peak hp around 4000 and fall drasticly there after ,when crossing the line at 5500 im assuming the lower gear would keep me in MY power range longer?REMEMBER THIS IS A PONTIAC NOT A CHEBBY!3:08 is too low,i really dont want to go with the 323 but I think thats the best for my needs.

 

sounds like you need cam heads intake

 

i agree with the cam heads and intake. upgrade ignition more more more. the more fire the more blast. check your fuel as well it sounds like it could be starving at top end.

I have a set of 3:23's. I live in Sterling Heights, so I'm not to far from you. The gears came out of my camaro 10 bolt.

 

HP,do u KNOW that it is ment for series 2 carrier???ment for3:08 an lower gears,they are also known as, 3:23 THICK, u may have series 3 carrier and that will work but I dont want to use the spacer,i want the thicker gear!

 

The car is a 91 z28 with posi. I dont know what carrier that is. You can always come check them out.

 

HP,99% SURE IT WOULD B A SERIES 3 beying a 91,how much u asking?,running out of time and going to have to do something, so i may just use the spacer,did u upgrade to a better gear ratio?

 

I put in 3:73's. Now that I think of it. The guy that installed the 3:73s said he used the spacer from the 3:23s. So I'm sure they are for a 3 carrier. I'll take $35 + shipping. Just kidding on the shipping.
