I have an '84 Z28 H.O. with a 350 crate and my T-5 is not good. I am looking for a T-5 strong enough for the motor now and with modifications down the road. If anyone knows of a better route to go please let me know!!!!

 

A t-56 is the way to go, but I might be able to hook you up with a t-5. what's your location?

 

I am in Charlotte, NC 28205. I am just wondering what should i be looking for if I am going to do mods to the engine and rear end? What will handle the power but still give me the fun of a manual?

 

you can put a stock t-5 behind almost any modified sbc and it will handle it. A friend of mine has a t-5 behind a 454 big block. but if you want fun and plan on big engine and drive train mods then spend some time looking for a reasonably priced t-56.

along with the trans i can give everything from pedals, slave cylinder, crossmember and clutch resovoir,and the console piece for the shifter, if you are doing a conversion for a extra 100.00

these are the numbers on the transmission

on the side it is stamped on a flat machined surface with these numbers - #2DN200122,numbers on the tag are #1352-062 You can private message me for my phone number if you are interested

 

I would like to have a T5 to rebuild if it was cheap! could buy your old one how much?
