Re: 083 heads

The L98 didn't come out til 87....the corvette had an l98 with aluminum heads. They were a 113 casting...(083 TPI cast iron heads from 87 with centerbolt covers)......Your Monte SS sounds nice!

Re: 083 heads

the L98 came out in 85 Vette with 882 iron heads , 86-87 had 128 aluminum heads, the 88 L98 had the 113 aluminum head, a revised 128 head with no exhaust valve rotators and 113 has better exhaust ports and better overall flow.. Good thing about the 128 head is the manifold bolt pattern/angles match older smallblock so you dont have to change intakes. On the 113 head the 2center bolts( 2 each side of the intake ) are at a different angle. Both have 58 cc comb chamber and same size ports and valves. I have a pair of 128 heads for sale if interested .That 58 cc really wakes up the motor fur shur duuuuude

Re: 083 heads

I should have been clearer in my first post. Looking for 14101083 castings only. They need to be unaltered and with no cracks. Thanks everyone.
