i have a 1984 pontiac trans am with the t5 might be willing to sell if the price is right. only 100k on the transmission

 

Whats a "right price"? and where are you located?

 

I have a t5 out of a 87 camaro. Bellhouseing, clutch, and flywheel, Shifts threw all the gears just fine, and reverse worked fine. 200 obo Im in Lower NY zip 12566.

 

To - 86camaro383 - am very interested in your trans, your not too far away - but - trying to be careful your only reference for sales is a bad one

what do you mean I only have a bad referance? I been selling parts on here since im a member. As far as I remember, The only conflict I had on here is I shipped a bumper and it got there cracked, but we settled that and I ended up paying him half the repair cost, that was because UPS wouldnt cover it. Besides, If you go to my classifieds rating has 2 positive feedbacks in it. I would say come by the my friends house tomarrow to drive it, but were pulling it out at 7 in the morning and junking the car after that.

Im looking at this thing and I dont see any tags.... I see casting numbers on the case...The deal is gotta be without the bellhouseing, my friend sold that yeasterday (friday)

 

Look for a number that begins 1352-xxx the last 3 numbers ID the trans, just to confrim this is a V8 trans. What do you want for it w/o the bellhousing?

 

I looked up everything online, everyone is saying this is a 5 spd out of a 85 s-10. wierd cosidering is was bolted up to a tbi 305.....I dont know if you still want it or not.

 

Couldn't find the 1352-xxx numbers? How did ya figure it was an S-10 trans?If its out of a 305 Camaro it should fit the T/A. Happen to keep the driveshaft? Still interested, let me do some checking, get back to you by Tues.

 

no I couldnt find any numbers. I just looked at the casting numbers on the case. There was some numbers underneith the borg warner name. I do have the old driveshaft as well. If you want i can give you that with the trans. I just want to be honest.

 

only numbers I found are 13520669, that was on the 'tailshaft" so to speak case of the trans.

 

Are you sure its 13520669, the closest number that matches to is 1352-069 Nissan 1984 300 ZX NA/EUR thats bizarre - do you know the history of the car? But if it was in a Camaro 305 it should be OK
just confirm that it's a 26 spline input shaft
How long is the trans and the driveshaft so I know it will fit in my trunk

 

there was a little space between the casting number and there was a '20'. I dont know if will make a difference. The trans should fit in your trunk, driveshaft, im not sure, I have to go back over there and measure it up. Im going to meet up with my buddy on thursday night ( all my parts are at my friends house because I cant keep them in my apartment. I know the kid bought the car off his uncle because the motor had a knock, he re-built the motor with his dad and then crashed it into a tree about 3 months ago. My buddy bought it and where parting it out. Thats all I know about the history of the car.

yup its a 26 spline.
