I need a replacement engine for my 88 firebird, or a set of heads that will fit my v6.

My current engine has leaking valves i believe, i need heads that have decent mileage and are known to be good.

If you have either one and are in CT maybe we can make some deal.

 

My buddy has got a complete engine from an 85/86 Firebird. It was a "low milage" car that was crushed under a fallen tree. The car had almost 80K for mileage and he almost scrapped the hole drivetrain along with the rest of the car. I convinced him to save it and even helped him pull it out. ( I stripped the rest of the car for my efforts)



The engine/tranny have been sitting in a truck bed and covered by a bed cap for about 10 months. If your interested - get back to me. I'll talk to him to try and get an asking price........ Feel free to make an offer since I know that's what he will say to me when I ask for a quote !

Wish I would have seen your post sooner - If the Subscriptions on this site worked I would have been notified about your response. Too Bad -I just sold a complete running/driving 88 2.8 Blazer last week that you could have driven home for $250. ( That's what I got for it sold as scrap metal )

In Any case - He's still got the engine and said $250 when I asked him about it last month. Not bad for an engine with under 80K original miles on it. If your interested just get back to me
