My son and I are building his first car, he is 14. I founf him a 91 Firebird with only 72K miles on it but the motors knocking. Insted of rebuilding it I thought I would see whats out there. I know theres plenty of you out there that pulled your 305's to replace with 350's. Looking for an 87 and up with roller cam.Will consider a 350 as well but I'm not looking for something built up.
It's his first car so I gotta limit how much power I turn him loose with.lol

I have a 89 Iroc (no motor or trans) I'm thinking about parting out.
Yes thinking about cause the body and interior are perfect but the previous owner has passed away and the cars just been sitting here for the last 3 years. I dont have a title and you need one to register a car here in IN or I would of dropped in a motor/trans and be driveing it by now.
The cars in such great shape I hate to take it all apart but I dont know what else to do with it.

i may be pulling my rebuilt 88 305 with 39,000 on it TBI injection with a few mods done to it soon. If you dont find anything let me know i am willing to meet you half way.

 

I do not know about this engine although the price seems pretty good if it is solid.

 

Sounds good cause I'm still finding nothing down here. Those in the link posted are older motors. I need an 87 and up roller motor.

I have a complete 86 305 LG4 a BBL carburetor motor. This is a complete, I mean a COMPLETE motor, out of a 1986 Trans Am. It just came out last week to make room for a 406. The motor has every thing on it that you would find in the car, including the a/c compressor, alternator, air pump, carb, exhaust manifolds, distributor, all the the air lines, including compressor lines and sensors. Radiator hoses, plugs and plug wires, EVERYTHING... The only thing that we took off the motor is the motor mounts, brake booster line, throttle cable brackets and starter. This motor only has 62,000 miles on it. Owned the car for the past 11 years, bought from original owner. History couldn't be better. Never been apart, running when driven into the garage to be pulled. Pulled the ECM, and rest of the wiring in one piece. Never cut a single wire. You won't find one more complete anywhere. In fact, every nut bolt, bracket, belt and pulleys are still on the motor. This is not a basket case. Closest you will find to a bolt in I think...I'm a little farther away in Flint, Michigan. I'm willing to meet half way to make the deal.

I have a 305 it has been overhauled with new bearings, seales, remanufautured heads, new cam, lifters, new rings. it is early style block (non rollor cam) but has the newer style center bolt heads on it so all the fuel injection stuff will bolt right up including the intake the only problem you might have would be that the oil dip stick will be on the driver side insted of the passenger side. let me know if interested.(and I am Also in southern indiana)
