I have a '87 305 block and heads that will need to be cleaned up but ran before it sat for some 4-5 years... I have taken the intake and TBI off, but I have that too... but I'll give you the block and heads for 50 bucks to get it out of my garage... but that's up to you if you wanna drive to PA if it's worth it to you...

Re: Need Motor! Have cash!
yes, I have not taken the bottom end apart at all... so the crank has been at least sitting in the oil that was in it all this time... haven't taken the heads apart either... there is still compression on the head gaskets that came with it and the valves, springs and lifters are all in place and untouched in their original torqued settings...
I also have pictures... and the heads are really all that need cleaning... looks like some rust and some cob webs in there... the rest of the block is ok...

yea send me some pics. not concerned about the looks of things as i can have them cleaned up. as long as nothing leaks. but that means the oil pan and pump and all would be going with motor right? and the accesories(alt, pwr steering, etc), intake, and comp system would not be included correct?
Re: Need Motor! Have cash!
I have a Complete motor, in Central PA. About dead center. State college, PA. It's out of a 91. Well its still in the car, and you can hear it run. $300. COMPLETE, take it from top to bottom. or if you got a trailer, take the whole car home with you for $400, and part off what you dont want. PM me if interested

Re: Need Motor! Have cash!
Hey I got a 69 camaro 350 motor bored .40 over with less than 3k on the rebuild. It ran fine untill I pulled the heads off a few months back. Two pistons were blown. Replace the pistons and this motor is sure to make you happy!
Its a 010 block- from the 69-7x models the 010 blocks had more amounts of nickel and other metals making it stronger and more desirable.
Its a short block with stock oil pan and timing cover, ill include the double roller timing chain and gears for it. No cam or top end.
I wanted 500 but if you buy the rear from me and the short block ill do 600 together!
New .40 over pistons from summit are 85 bucks. You could replace the pistons in a weekend and throw your top end on it and MOVE!!!
