you know what i have no idea the spindle axels how do i tell ?

A 1986 is 26 spline. You need to know what gears you currently have in the rear so you can get the right carrier. They make 2 series (3:08 down) and 3 series carriers (3:73 up). You can however buy a spacer to use a 3 series gear on a 2 series carrier.

right now its got the 2.73 open gears in it so it needs a series 2 im looking for something cheap the junkyard which are a bunch of money hungry freaks want like $250 or $275 for a complete rear end or you can get the gears but its the same price. I am trying to stay as cheap as posible because i am only 17 and work part time and pay for everything insurance included which just went up due to a couple of tickets and a accident hehehehe.

i have a complete 3.73 drum rear you can have for $100 if you come pick it up here in chicago

I have a couple of rearends

I got one in Minnesota 10 bolt drum posi for 200

I have a rebuilt 3.23 geared 10 bolt - 5K miles, support cover, pbr brakes- 450.00

I'll have a complete 4th gen rear w/13k miles on it. Aftermarket carrier with 4:10's. Complete drum to drum with stock torque arm and panhard bar. Would like $450. Also will have an aluminum driveshaft with t-56 yoke. be about a month before it's out of the car though.
