You probably won't find too many of those on here... Most everybody that can even find one of those cars almost immediately swaps in a V8. Try an S10 forum or www.car-part.com or even eBay. If you're willing to drive to WNY, I know of a yard that has an 84 with that engine attached to a Muncie (saginaw?) 4-speed. The engine's still in good shape...

He's looking for the very base GM 2.5 installed in the 3rd gen cars from 82-85/86.Also, check J, W, and N bodies for their 2.5's... A lot of those cars had them.

... Must have been a typo then. Yes, 84 Jeeps had the GM 2.5 (Chrysler bought the Jeep brand in 86 when they bought ALL of the AMC lines from GM), but the 94's were full Chrysler.
Re: need 2.5 inline 4 cyl motor
Grab a 2.5 out of an '88 up ciera, celebrity, firenza or other GM.
Starting in '88 they had completely electronic ignition, roller cam, more durable timing drive system and serpentine accessories.
I got over 200k out of one of these motors. Get the wiring, ECM etc and bolt it in. Do some research on the iron duke and you'll also find there is a preferred GM intake.
