I want to run a blower with a hood scoop, so I'd like to get a new engine (currently has a 305 TBI). I'd like to get an L99, but I'll probably end up rebuilding a stock third or fourth gen 350 to save money. This is my first car, and I've never taken any mechanics classes so I don't know a ton about this stuff - I'm not sure whether I can run a blower with a TBI or TPI setup or if I need a carb, if I'll need a new rear axel, etc. so any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I also want to swap from the stock automatic transmission to a manual. I don't know much about that either, but I think my best bet is again to get a T56 from a third or fourth gen.

It would be awesome if I could find a fourth gen with an ls and manual trans and a posi disk rear end that has a trashed interior/exterior so I could pick it up for cheap and just use the entire drivetrain from it.

I already put a fair amount of money into the car and I'm taking somewhat of a break from spending every minute of spare time working on it, so I don't know when I'll be able to do this stuff. I'd like to get an idea of how much it'll cost me, and if I get good deals maybe I'll be able to start working on this sooner rather than later.
