Looking for a broken 700R4 (4L60) trans. MUST BE 89 AND UP and for the V8 (Don't know if there's a difference). Must have a good case and valve body since I'm looking to rebuild it. Also does not need to come with Torque Converter. Would also prefer something local so I can pick up. I am willing to travel 100 miles into NJ or CT from NYC. Let me know what you got. Thanks!

 

i have a broken 700r4 out of an 89 camaro rs with a v8.... it has the converter and the tranny is complete except for the 2-4 apply band.... the 3-4 clutch pack is fried and the reverse input drum that the band rides on could use replacement but i live in glenville, ny which is about 20 min from albany... make me a reasonable offer and its yours... and oh, the vavle body has a shift kit from b&m installed. great tranny to rebuild... call me for more details at 518-817-5013

 

its actually '87 and up are the improved with aux valve body and such

the first digit of stamping code along flat spot at pan rail is last digit of the year

'87 to 92 are the 700r4 with aux valve body

 

I have a 700R4 that I just pulled from my 88 GTA. Other than 3-4 clutch pack, the trans was working when I pulled it.
