Re: Computer Controlled Distributor
Would you really want to put "junk" in your car? I've got a good solid used OEM small distributor( remote coil ) with a touch of light surface rust on top, but but just a little normal wear on gear and no play in shaft. Can include a cap and module, or would you rather supply your own? Most likely have a good coil as well. LMK if you are interested in any of this and I'll give you a quote. May as well toss in your zip for shipping while you're at it

Re: Computer Controlled Distributor
Does the distributor have the flat four wire connector that came on stock carbed firebirds?

Re: Computer Controlled Distributor
if like to add some info and clear up a few things just trying to help out.
alot of the CCC ones had vacuum advance and mechanical advance weights too
such as the 82 pickups 305 with EST
and so does this 85 c10 pickup with 4.3L 4bbl im working on right now
look up 1103465 distributor
it is CCC with vacuum and mechanical weights both, and i have one or two of them(EST system)
there were alot of different things gm did
just because it is a CCC distrib doesnt mean it cant or wont have vacuum advance on it. i dont know where ppl always get the idea that no CCC were vac advance.
gm even did 5 pin and 7 pin CCC modules within the same years and same engines, such as in 1985. depending on whether it was cali or federal emissions package
its a mess. gm did about anything and everything as far as distributor combos over the years.
it seems that the CCC with vac and mech advance were the EST system and did not have spark timing module.
then the ones with a module were ESC system and usually did not have vac advance, and seems ot be most common on the cars, but not on the trucks.
all of them had the flat four wire extra harness plug on them but betwene ESC and EST they wre different and the modules had two different numbers of terminals on them. 5 or 7
i guess some pl mnage to swap to small cap TBI style distributors, away from large HEi style but have no idea how they do it, and ive seen ppl do the opposite as well.
i wish i knew how to do it. id love to put large HEI on my 4.3L 1991 TBI and get rid of the stupid remote coil on the intake hmm.
anyways i have a lot of distributors HEI style around for sale
some non CCC and some CCC, and some with vacuum advance and some without
1103460 is one CCC without vacuum advance but has mechanical weights
i have one of these also.
make offer for any
