Cheap ebay cloth hood liner
I think I missed the boat on these as I don't see them on ebay anywhere. They were $35 dollar cloth hood liners of various colors for f-bodys with various emblems like firebird symbols or camaro etc. They were mean to replace the stock liner and had holes to fit the same hood mounts. Anyone have one or know where to get one?

The reason people remove then is the stock linner becomes a fire hazzard after 20 years, the dust dirt n engine gasses build up in it and it will burn like wild fire.

ya mine was pretty crappy and hangging down. Unfortunately, my f-body had been painted and after removing the liner the old paint was under it and looks aweful. Obviously, I could replace the liner with an oem one, but I was looking for the ones with emblems to spice things up. Anyone have any cheap hood liner alternatives that look nice? Mabye some reflective mirrored panels cut to size would look good....

I know what you mean just note that cloth one you talk about is a show piece only, not sometime you run all the time.
I like the indent hole filler with that chrome, quilt looking stuff, while you still see the skelton of the hood.
[I can't use anything though, my ducting for the hood scoops run on the under side. So a shot with under coating is the best it gets, the texture hides flaws.]

Hmmmm thats a really interesting thought gumby. Why wouldn't the cloth liner be a permanently applied and used hood liner? Fire hazard? Just curious although its probably a moot point since they don't seem to be available anymore
