Needing a 700R4 VSS
My speedo quit along with the tripometer. Anybody have one for a 89 firebird for sale ? I'm sure it fits other years.

Re: Needing a 700R4 VSS
After further research I found out that there is a VSS buffer on the 89 GTA models in addition to the round VS sensor that mounts in the tranny tail housing. Is this true ? Also some state the "yellow box" is mounted behind the gauge panel and others have stated it mounts next to the ECM. Can anybody out there provide me with clarification ?
Thanks

On the firebird the buffer box ("yellow box") is located by the ecm. Camaro had the buffer behind the cluster.
If you end up needing a buffer box let me know. I have a few laying around in working order.
