Hey everyone I'm trying to restore My Wifes Camaro its an 87 that was her grandfathers and he pasted away and left her the car. It had the 2.8l but it's not worth fixing. Would really like to upgrade to a 350 or 305 but would take what I can get. If some one could help me out I'm in need of an engine CHEAP!!!! I know it's kind of stupid to ask that but I have two kids and I've been laid off for 6 months. I can only afford $200 to $300 Maybe I little more not sure as of right now. Looking for a complete running engine so I can just drop it in.

I know its a long shot but I figured I'd give it a try. The Car Means a lot to her and if I don't get it running soon we'll have to get rid of it.

I am in southwest Ohio and have a 305 shortblock with pan (no heads or intake) for $150. Has 34k Origonal miles on it. Open to offers.

EDIT: Just realized you want a complete engine. That's going to be hard to do with your budget.

 

I know your a good distance but, I just pulled a 305 from a 1980 vett. Is the stock vett 305. Has a alumin duel plan weind intake and nice valve covers. Complete just needs a carb and starter car had 90k on it i drove it here 60 miles to do the engine swap to a 434sbc. If you can get it i will let you have it for 200.00

 

Just pulled my 305 out of my 84 z its complete but will need bottom end rebuilt probly just the bearings but for 200 and probly another 200 into it and youll have a decent engine im at 44483 in ohio

 

91 305 84K miles original miles not pulled so you could look and listen. I will let it go for $350 and I will pull it. I live in Cincinnati, so if that is local for you we can make a deal. Thanks. Jay
