Re: Need vacuum delay valve

Yes, because I know for certain it's correct for the application which is delaying converter lockup.

Seems every aftermarket 'equivalent' aren't very equivalent at all. Some are actually check valves and not delay valves and some themselves have been discontinued. The Standard DSV35 is the only aftermarket one that may actually work, but no local autopart stores deal with Standard products, they're hard to come by overall, and they're overpriced.

So yes, I'd like the GM 14020691 one which I would think would be pretty common in Canada where they had alot fewer CCC cars. I suppose I could also use the Standard DSV35 though.

Try a DSV6 instead. Don't worry about local stores, you can even get them from Amazon and shipping is free.

BTW the TCC vacuum delay valve is a check valve, just a "leaky" one effectively.

I don't want to spend any money and time experimenting with other delay valves that may or may not work. That is why I want one that is known to work. Have you personally tried the DSV6 in a lockup application? If so, how long was the delay?

Yes, but many of the aftermarket 'delay' valves aren't of the 'leaky' variety, which is what I need and I don't want to experiment. I just want a known good delay valve which is either the 14020691 or the DSV35.
