I'm located an hour south of Columbus, OH. Zip code 43160.

I am looking for a 91-92 Axle with 3.42 gearing, disc brakes, posi., and PBR calipers.

Looks like RPO:

G80 for limited slip
GU6 for 3.42 gears

I think G92 was also a V8 code for performance ratio, but is the same thing if from a v6, just wouldn't have G92 code????



I believe 90-92 Firebird or Camaro would do the trick.

Price range?

 

A fair price. I can find 4th gen versions of what I'm looking for all day, but I really do not want to deal with the wider rear end.

For a good price, I would be willing to drive a little.

This car will never see the track. I only need something stock in good condition.

If anyone can point me towards one off a 91-92 I would appreciate it.

Also, wouldn't mind picking up a 98-02? driveshaft with dampeners or whatever.

Depending on what happens this month I may be selling off my 3.42 out of my 91 1LE car. And JAMES C is right on that thread it has a ton of good info.

BUMP...willing to drive a few hours for the right part

 

I have a 3.08 Open diff from my '90 RS with drum brakes that I will let go for cheap, only 34k origonal miles. I know its not exactly what you want but you could always do a disk conversion and upgrade the diff. Located north cincy too.

 

I definitely want POSI.
I definitely want Disc Brakes.
Strongly prefer it from 90-92 model.

I might consider 3.23.

At the right price, I may consider 98-02 preferably without traction control (if it exist).

What I'm looking for seems a little elusive. Ask your neighbors! I need help locating this!

I've got one I just finished pulling out today, but I'm in CT. I'm gonna list it later on. It's out of a 1991 Firebird Formula 5 spd.
