Need new shift cable

Engine: 5.7 ltr.
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3:27 9 Bolt Borg Warner
Need new shift cable
Went to take my GTA out for a sunday drive today and I went to take it out of park and nothing happened. Pulled the console off and the shifter goes back and forth with cable sliding in and out of jacket with ease. Looked under and the shift lever on tranny not moving. Do these cables break inside the jacket ?

Try to find a used OEM cable. The aftermarket ones from Dorman at Autozone, O'Rielly, etc. are crap. They are discontinued through GM and the last one new one on the planet was at a Dealership in Guam but I purchased that one 2 months ago. Good luck.
