Do yourself a favor and don't waste a second of time dealing with used iron rear calipers. New replacement calipers are cheap enough these days. New aftermarket brake cables will also be a lot cheaper than used originals and work perfectly fine - it's just a cable !

I'm trying to promote Advance Auto over any other retailer,... just tryin' to show you that new replacement parts are available 'down the street' for a very reasonable price compared to shipping & restoring used rear calipers.

* I'd recomend using auction sites for any missing / needed E-Brake hardware. I re-built a couple 85 style disk rear-ends last season and the hardware was easest to find and WAY cheaper using auction sites.

 

yeah we are finishing up a 12 bolt....I see your point on calipers, might be best to get them locally...I hear sometimes they don't always have their springs and throw weights

The only one who had complete calipers, with its springs and throw weights was Auto Zone....Pep Boys and Advance Auto Parts, even though they show them complete online, in pictures they were not complete.
