i did a 350 tbi swap and am looking for the 350 auto chip preferably with the governor removed. there seem to be none left on ebay or in the junkyard -thanks

 

What year engine what car did it come out of?

 

its from A 71 monte carlo but its been rebuilt. its .30 over with a mild cam

 

If its the original engine from the monte I doubt it came with a computer in 71...do you have the numbers from thr block

 

No, i put the monte engine in the car and put the tbi from the old 305 on it. Im looking for a 350 chip so it doesn't run way too lean.

 

I dont remember the numbers but it shouldn't matter because its not a stock 71 engine

Im pretty sure any gm pickup around the same year would have the prom you need...if I can find one ill post

 

I was under the impression you cant use the truck ecm in a thirdgen

 

Yeah thats why I was only looking for a prom from a 350 tbi you should jus get your stock chip reprogrammed

 

i would love to but i cant afford a 200$ chip right now i was hoping to find a old cop car ecu or chip for a better deal.

I've got a ECU from a 1992 Caprice with the 350 TBI engine/ auto transmission if you are interested. The Service No. is 16136965 AYDP Prom.. I looked it up a couple years ago and the new GM PN is 88999162. I was gonna use it when I changed my 92 RS over to a 350 engine but never did..
I went to newgmparts.com and ran the new GM PN and it came up with 91-93 Caprice cars with either the 5.0 or 5.7 engines. Even had a couple of the 4.3s listed.

I'll take 20 dollars shipped if you want it
