Hey Guys,

I need the following micro hosing that goes to the EGR, EFE, and generally sits around in front of the carb.

I HAVE to get these soon and get this car smogged in CA. One of my neighbors already called it in as abandoned because i just had it sitting in the street for longer than 72 hours :-( egh...

Here is what i need :

Microhosing
=======
* EGR Micro Hosing Harness
* EFE Micro hosing Harness
* Any tees
* Any other micro hosing that i am forgetting

Regular hosing
=========
CCV Hosing (Its about 6 hoses)

Not sure
=====
I think i might need an EGR solenoid

I think one part is number 66 here but i'm not sure.

I have a '84 z28 LG4 and a '87 firebird LG4 both had complete engines. I should have all the items you need. If you can get me pictures or info on each item I can go look for sure

 

Thanks Dude, you're a life saver if you can help! Here i go...

1. Vacuum Harness - Looks kind of like this - but may have an additional charcoal filter on it aswell - This is like one piece, and plugs into a bunch of different places..



2. EGR Solenoid



3. Long Metal Vacuum Pipe (Goes from Near Valve Cover to EFE Actuator)
4. Small Rubber Pipe (Actually connects the metal pipe to the Actuator)




5. The hose that connects the EGR to the EGR Solenoid

 

I'm pretty sure I have most if not all of those parts. I'll have to check the 2 cars and my parts bins tomorrow to be sure. I pulled the engines out of both cars over the last 2 weeks so kinda got to find all the pieces lol

I hate it man, but I came up empty handed for you. I got the parts but they are no good. Breaking apart, cracked, ends off, etc. Sorry bud.

Update!

I rebuilt the harness myself to the UBF decal spec using silicon hoses from EBay. I didn't bother finding the 5/32 micro hose with the elbow connectors. I built it using regular "fat" 5/32 hosing because it just attaches directly to anything that is 5/32 without the need for elbows.

I then installed a

New EGR
Used 1982 EGR solenoid
New coolant sensor
New ported vacuum switch
New heat stove pipe

I also dumped "guaranteed to pass" fuel system cleaner into a full tank and did my smog test after a 20 minute drive, arriving with the tank half full.

I failed the first time for running to rich.

Had my mechanic tune it, I was back and hour later and passed.

Done for 2 years!
After all of this I passed smog!

 

COOL! I hate it that you had to go through all of that BS but glad you got it done, passed and driving.

 

Lol you should check my smog story on tech general engine . It was a long long road ....
