Just wondering if anyone has a set they arnt using and might be looking to sell and how much they might be. Still debating between this route and buying a new aftermarket set.

Punzak I think you would be better off with Vortecs IMO. The 113s "corvette heads" are lighter than the 083 iron heads you have and maybe a lil better. Not a huge difference over what you have though.

Re: L98 Corvette heads

I've got a set of 113's from an 89 Vette; 8x,xxx miles, still factory original.

Got a set of '062' Vortecs too,.... under 70 K original miles and also still factory original.

Shipping heads is VERY expensive, I'd advise looking around locally to see what's available close by before seriously considering having heads shipped to you.

Re: L98 Corvette heads

Thanks all for the comments.
-All i heard is that the 195’s are pretty much the best for our cars but i couldnt get into that price range now.
-Looked at vortecs but it stinks you gotta spend $400 on that base to use TPI.
-I’ve been around craigslist and what not and couldnt find any around me. Didnt think of the shipping cost.

I’ll keep going over my options then lol thanks!

It's not all THAT bad. At least the Vortec intake is available. The standard aftermarket TPI manifolds are selling for more than the Vortec TPI manifold, and most of them are used.

Here’s a member selling a couple sets. Have been up for a while, maybe he’ll cut a deal.
