2.8L V6 engine wiring harness needed (1985)

Need an affordable harness for the entire engine bay. It’s going into an 85 sport coupe, 173ci fuel injected V6.

ENGINE harness,... or ECM harness ? ENGINE harness starts on the drivers side firewall,........... ECM harness starts at the ECM under the pass side of the dash and passes thru the body on the pass side to the engine bay.

I've got an ECM harness for an 85 2.8/Auto or an 87 ECM harness for a 2.8/stick. Don't believe I've got any 2.8 ENGINE harnesses.

Quite honestly, I don’t know the difference. It’s my first project car, and I’m more used to carburetors. All the wiring under the hood is what I need to replace, and 2 thick looms go into the passenger side firewall and into the ecm, which is why I put engine/ecm harness. It all looks like one piece.

There might be a connector or 2 that attaches the ECM harness to the ENGINE harness,..... but they are in fact 2 different / separate harnesses. The Engine harness is for Alternator, Starter, Distributor, Wipers, Gauges. The ECM harness is for the injectors and anything/everything controlled by the ECM.

The 85 ECM harness will work for you if you have an Automatic and the 87 would work for you if you have a Stick. If you need more info / details than send me a PM and be sure to include your ZIP code if you need a shipping quote.
