i want to swap the 2.8 mpi i have in my 86 sc to a V8, and i can get a gm truck 350 tbi from a friend... now to do a swap like this, does the donor car need to be a camaro? cant i use the motor trans from the truck or even a caprice? cause didnt the caprice come with a 700R4 too? are there any past posts that i missed in my search that pertain to a 2.8 MPI to a TBI setup, or even the wiring stuff for switching a 2.8 to a 305 or 350 tbi? even if i find information about wiring a 305's tbi unit into the car it would help. so what do i need to change wiring... is the dash wiring to my 2.8 the same as a TBI car's?

all i need to do is solve the dash wiring n rip all the other V6 wiring out too right?
