Alot? I'd advise not taking advice from those people.

Did ya read the sticky post at the top? A 350 setup same as a 305 will make more power, every time, without fail. You have to decide what you want out of the car, and then decide what its gonna take to get it there. A 305 might just fit the bill, then again it might not. And of course if you have neither, you should pick up a 350.

Right. The only answer to your question is another question: "Better for what?"

Obviously (from my sig), I built a 305. That's because it was cheaper to get where I am improving what I had than it would have been had I gone out and found a 350 to put in it (which probably would have needed a rebuild, making it 355 if .030" over).

Would a 350 with the same money spent be faster? I maintain it would not.

Would a 350 given the same treatment be faster? Absolutely! It would also be more expensive.

I don't have to play second fiddle to much out there on the street (that LS1 4th gen being one example to the contrary). It gets me where I'm going and back home (but so did the stock LG4). It's a lot of fun (will be more fun when I get the tranny all sorted out).

So, back to your question: "Better for what?"

is this a question?

always go with the cubes. If you want power, anyways. the 305 may be a bit more affordable to build but not by much. It just depends on your initial investment. which motor do you have and how much money do you want to put in? If you have limited budget and have the 305, build that. it will give you some power. But overall, the 355 would be a better INVESTMENT. your call.

I have to agree that there is no substitution for displacement. BUT you can sup up a 305 and it comes in your car so is easier and cheaper. If you have a camaro with no engine then get a 350.
