exactly how hard is it to put a BBC in our Camaros or birds?

My dad, brother and I all have 3rd gen f-bod's but my Dad wants to be true to his roots and get a BBC in his 91 Camaro. We have a V6 camaro that we can do it to or a V8 camaro....which would be easier to do it in.......what all is involved. Is it hard?

BBC 3rd gen
It's not too hard from what I've heard. The real stinker is the exhaust. Do a search on "Big Block", you'll come up with a lot.

That's like trying to stuff a watermelon inside a lemon peel.

It should fit but it's not as easy a swap as on a third gen. Then engine sits farther under the firewall so clearances should be even worse.

Putting a BBC in a 4th gen has been done but it's a hack job at best.

Their was one sold on ebay recently with a 454 (had pics and everything) I just can't remember where I saw the post that refered me to it, here or on another 3rd gen site. Sorry.

Look through some old Hot rod magazines they did three that I am aware of and listed all the factory part numbers. Buy good headers (not hookers) and the swap is relatively easy. I have some third gen BBC swap parts for sale if interested.
