just bought a 86 ta with a 305 tpi with posi yup posi i cant believe it. and i got the car for 1500 bucks anyway should i go crate motor or is there a better way

 

It all depends on what you are looking for. Crate motors are generally more expensive but come with a warranty and usually (but not always) are assembled better than a rebuild from some no-name machine shop. And most have a warranty. Thats really what you are paying extra for. You could always have a shop do a build up on parts they have, though many times that will run as much as a crate motor.
