305tpi to 406carburated swap
Hey all, what's up? I have been gone for awhile, but now I'm baaack. I just got my motor finished, and am looking forward to getting it installed! Here's a pic of the motor. Q: how come I can't add more than one pic on a message?
Oh yeah, the girdles for the heads aren't on yet, they were on b/o, but will have them on before I get this thing fired up!
Those heads are the Pro Action "lightning series" 220cc

406 Small Block

hey,
nice looking motor. I was just curious how much those heads ran you and how they compare to similar heads.

xpndbl3, I don't know how these heads compare to others, as this is my very first "hot" hotrod engine. I've had other small blocks,(home-made) but they were very mild, compared to this one.
I let the machinist put this together, and according to him, these heads are supposed to be "the sh*t". I had them ported to the intake, and they have 208(I think) or 207 valves in them.
As far as what they cost........The machinist makes money off of parts, I know he does, he has to. He charged me $1250 for these heads, but I know he got them cheaper than that......
All I know is that these are "Pro Action, lightning series" heads, and the company is out of auckland, new zealand.
This engine is actually a 410 (according to the machinist), but I just say 406 to keep it simple.
