heads

I bought the edelbrock performer rpm heads and i am worried about them cracking. They are going on a 383 kit. I bought the edelbrock water pump and i was wondering if that should do. Also plan on buying a 160* thermostat.

Shouldn't be any different from any other heads about that.

Dont worry about them cracking. Their machining tolerances are very good and they are excellent quality. I dont think you will crack them.

Your best insurance against head cracking is a good cooling system. Buy a new radiator. The aluminum core, plastic tank
type are inexpensive and work great. Use a factory clutch fan
and shroud.
